Here are some shots of her in the waiting room and reading the book they gave her. Of note, they aren't supposed to start giving us free books until 6 months, but because she is so clearly advanced they made an exception. Well, it may have also had something to do with the fact that the resident wasn't sure if free books started at 4 months or 6 months, and then I told her that once you promise a baby she'll get a book, you can't really take it away or you're essentially stealing...from a baby. Not cool. So we got a book.

4 month checkup...
Today Ted and I took Lola for her 4 month checkup. It will come as no surprise to our loyal readers that the doctor confirmed that Lola is, in fact, the best baby ever. Not in so many words, but she was much admired by all. The stats: she weighs 13 pounds, 6.2 ounces and is 25.5 inches tall. Since she was born, she has gained 5.5 pounds and grown 5 inches. Pretty impressive, if I do say so myself. She has also just started sucking her thumb and making a sound uncannily akin to a dial-up modem (technology that will be to Lola what the 8-track is to me).
