During this last week, I discovered that I would suck as a single mom. Ted was out of town Monday-Thursday, so Lola and I were on our own. And whoa, nelly, did I quickly discover that parenting is much better as a team sport. I had a crazy week at work, so early morning daycare drop-offs, illness (both of us), and a snow day (1 inch of snow shuts down the schools/daycare here, even if it melts by 10 AM) combined to create a house that looked like a bomb went off, a frazzled me, but, ultimately, a happy baby who actually was fed, clothed, bathed, and even photographed (with Ted out of town, I got to serve as the guest photographer for the Year of Lola photo project). Some of my efforts are below.
Welcome home, Ted. I'm taking a nap.

| Lola has started kissing. But she always goes in open-mouthed. Luckily, mirror baby is receptive to her advances. |
| tongue out=cute, which is lucky, because her tongue is almost always out |
| Oh yeah, she waves now, too. Hello, mirror baby! |
| Baby through a tube=artsy |
| Here she is clearly skeptical, as I am rarely the photographer in the household |
| But she warms up pretty quickly. |
| By this day we were both tired, and I think I got this and one other shot. |
