Can I take her picture?

My mom came to visit this weekend, and we had a blast doing nothing but eating yummy food and hanging out.  Multnomah Village hosted the annual Holiday Gala,  but most of the coolest events were timed almost exactly with bedtime (Lola's, not ours).  Somehow, though, I think Santa lighting the tree may be more exciting when Lola is a bit older, and when there is not a freezing wind blowing her away.

Yesterday we did make it to the annual pottery and art show at the Multnomah Community Center and found some great homemade items, including Lola's pick: Polka Dog, shown below in the Bumbo.

Of note, no fewer than 4 strangers took Lola's picture. This is not an unusual occurrence for us, and I guess it's due to her hair, but it still takes me by surprise, especially when I have hat hair. One woman described her hair as Titian. I am wondering if this will be an option for her driver's license. I prefer "copper penny." Maybe she'll get her own crayon color...

Mom also got Lola many fun toys, including an activity center/walker.  Here she is trying it out for the first time.  I like the way she seems to be reviewing each part like the person who checks in your rental car while silently judging you...
