Today, Ted, Lola, and I spent the morning preparing for the rainstorm of the century, which has yet to arrive (fingers crossed that it decides to head a different direction). Ted cleaned out the rain gutters and better secured them (the roof and roof-related environs are, in general, off limits to the likes of me) and we cleared out our storm drains. Then Ted commenced soup making. The entire house smelled awesome all day and I am pleased to report that the soup lived up to its smell (turkey black bean enchilada, if you were wondering).
In the afternoon, we went to Jenny and Dale's holiday party. There was yummy food and great company, including many kids for Lola to play with and watch.
