2011!

We took a family road trip to Seattle to celebrate New Year's Eve with Auntie Brookie and her brother Aaron (her husband Josh was surfing in Peru).  Since our party animal days are well behind us and Lola goes to bed by 7:30, we stayed in and ate fondue (dipping stuff in cheese - can anyone tell me something better?) and worked diligently to stay awake until midnight.  We made it, but I think I was asleep by 12:30.

In the morning, Lola modeled the awesome knit jacket that Brooke's mother-in-law Judy made, explored the fun of a bathroom sink, ate parts of Brooke's sweatshirt, and saw Kerry Park, from which Ted got the quintessential Seattle skyline picture.  A pretty good morning, no?  She did great on the road; she really seems to like travel and has finally learned to fall asleep in the car, even when there are cool things to see out the window!

Love and thanks to Brooke for her hospitality, and to Aaron for a sweet stack of morning pancakes!

2011.  Crazy.

Let's go!

Brooke models the cauliflower waiting to sacrifice itself in molten cheese.

Thanks Judy!

Brooke explains the importance of hygiene to Lola.

It was clear enough to see Rainier...bonus!

Dreaming of the awesomeness to come in 2011...
