Who's 3? Lola!!

Hard to believe it, but 3 years have passed with the awesome Lolabug in our world.  For her special day, she got to pre-game with a Friday party at school, complete with cupcakes, balloons, gifts, and some movie time.  She loved being the birthday girl, and in her mother's tradition, was able to extend the fun for several days.

On Saturday (her actual birthday), she started out with a special birthday meal at Fat City, where she and Ted are Saturday morning regulars.  Then a birthday muffin at the coffee shop, then we headed to OMSI.  Once home, the first round of presents began and Lola was liking being birthday girl even more!  We split gifts into a couple of shifts (there's a lot of love out there for this girl!), and headed to the park for more birthday play.  Then she got her own cakelet at Baker and Spice, followed by birthday dinner and even more presents!

On Sunday, we met up with her good buddy Lila for a playdate that sadly ended in injury, but was still a fun time, and now a great story for Lola to tell as she grows up ("I fell off the big red slide.  Mommy saw me in the air.  I was not careful.").  But even fractured, she had a good time the rest of the day.

There are no words for how much we love this little but big three year old person.  I have checked her all over for babiness and find that very little remains.  But there's plenty of Lolaness.  Which is pretty rad.

Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Pancake candle.  Too cool.

Invisible Woman.  I want one.

Homemade (well, OMSI-made) play-dough

"There's no downscalator, mama!"

Evil birthday clown mom.

Presents!!

Accessories!!

More accessories!!

Coco Chanel once said, "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off." Lola does not subscribe to this theory.

Accessories and mowing the lawn!!

Castle building requires the utmost attention (Thanks Terri, Gary, Jordan, and Ronnie!!)

I like cake!

Birthday pirate ship!

Thanks for the presents, Grandma Lago and Grandpa and Grandma Darlene and Papa Chuck!

Swinging on playdate with Lila.  Just before "the injury."

They gave us a sling, but seriously, what 3 year old can keep a sling on? Even with an injurious end, Lola had an awesome Birthday weekend!
